  • Do not use bleach - this affects the fire-retardant coating and colours
  • Do not iron - high temperatures damage the technical properties

When should you replace your karting overalls?

Even with the best maintenance, a kart overall won't last forever. Look for the following signs that it's time for replacement:

  • Visible wear: tears, holes or thin spots in the fabric
  • Damaged zippers that no longer close properly
  • Loss of fit: the overalls have stretched and no longer fit properly
  • Faded flame retardant properties: after many washes (check the manufacturer's specifications)
  • Stains that won't come out and have affected the fabric
  • Age: after 3-5 years of intensive use, depending on how often you use your kart

For kart racers who race regularly (weekly or more), it's wise to replace your overalls every 2-3 years, even if there's no visible damage. Their protective properties can diminish over time.

With proper care, your karting overalls will stay beautiful and functional for longer. Wash at a low temperature, air dry, and use specialized detergents such as Sparco X-cool Recharge detergent For optimal results, replace your overalls in time to ensure optimal protection on the track!
